If someone by the name of Michael Lardizabal (michael_lardizabal) wants to add you to their list, don't accept it. It's a virus. Tell everyone on your list because if somebody on your list adds them you will get it, too. It is a hard drive killer and a very horrible virus. Please pass this on to everyone on your list. We need to find out who is using this account.

Someone hacked their accounts through a phishing site and their accounts are now being held by a certain KATHERINE DELASERNA, who is demanding payment to get their sites back.

The modus operandi:
1) Will chat with you on YM and inquire regarding some items.
2) Will ask you to add her but her original Multiply ID has no content so she'll send this link: http://profile-yummylicious-multiply-com.tk
What will appear is a page that looks like the original login page of Multiply, but in reality, IT IS NOT!!!
3) Will get your login details through the information you entered on the fake login page of Multiply.
4) When you realize that your account was hacked, will try to extort money from you.

SO HOW CAN WE BE SAFE FROM THIS THREAT IN OUR ONLINE BUSINESSES AND PERSONAL ACCOUNTS?

How she did the hack:
Apparently, she made contact with the shop owners via Yahoo Messenger asking if she could be a reseller. Then, when asked if she had an online shop, she gave the shop owners a link. Not knowing that this link leads to a FAKE MULTIPLY LOGIN PAGE, the shop owners thought that they were just logged off multiply and so they entered their info.

A MESSAGE TO EVERYONE:
Always check the address bar when logging in to a specific site. Be sure that it is the official site's login page not some site with the same name but different ext name like .tk, .nu or the like. This applies to every site, not just Multiply.

I am also not sure if she works alone since she claims that she's in a group of hackers. So please, be careful on whom you talk to and ALWAYS check links or files sent to you. If it seems suspicious, then its better not to open it.
